I became an Arsenal supporter rather young, after being brought up on the lower North Shore of Sydney in the area between Greewich and Woolwich, those suburbs having their namesakes in London,which of course is the origin of Arsenal FC in London. After the first settlement in this area the various small islands in the harbour became Royal Naval and military arsenals. So it fits the history I should be a "gunner".
