But for Austar not until Nov 1st but the rep i spoke to on the phone said if you have the sports package it will be included ,or $6 as a stand alone channel .Bloody great if its included in the sports pack.
They do replay premier league games thru MUTV and Chelsea TV so more flexability in your viewing habits to catch Arsenal .Looking thru their schedule they also have CL ,UEFA Cup ,SPL ,Eredivise ,Bundersliga plus others including this blockbuster ?
Football Conference Live Blue Square Premier - Droylsden v Oxford United
Live action from the Butchers Arms Stadium as Droylsden take on Oxford United. The home side desperately need a win as they currently lie second from bottom. K.O. 02:15am AET.

Sensational!
Unfortunately, we can't get Arsenal TV on it according to the link. I'm going to look into it more and let you know if there's anything else I can see.

At the moment it's only available to Satelite viewers and it's $15 a month extra.

On Foxtel it looks like it will be $15 extra for just setanta on top of what you already have ,so no ,not in the basic ,but you only need to have the basic package to access it unlike Austar where you require the sports package.
On Austar included in the sports package along with Fox1,2,3 and ESPN which cost $15.
According to the austar rep i spoke to on the phone it wont cost extra thru the sports package ,but reading these two links it will cost an additional $6

Looks like austar is getting a better deal
There have been rumours we are getting another ESPN channel in the future

ESPN may be better. I'm a bit disappointed that Setanta has Man Utd TV & Chelsea TV but no other teams TV.

Not a huge fan of ESPN with their blurry vision and yank commentators .Would be nice if they had other teams T.V. but it will be great to see the smaller teams and the Eredivise and Bundersliga.

Setanta Australia only have the rights to show two EPL team channels currently. When this agreement was made with the EPL there WERE only TWO team channels (MUTV and ChelskiTV). Now Liverpoo and us have done deals - that will change over time, but I would think that the earliest we would see ANY Arsenal coverage would be in the new year as it doesn't even commence in the UK until December.

EPL rules state that only 2 club channels per country can be broadcast per channel in any territory and we already show MUTV and Chelsea TV. We were certainly keen to broadcast Liverpool TV and looked into doing so, however, at the end of the day, due to the agreements we are in with MUTV and Chelsea TV, we are unable do so. We are disappointed about this and apologise to all the Liverpool fans who may have had their hopes up.

Hopefully this means down the track we will get Arsenal T.V. on setanta here in Aus
Arsenal and Setanta to launch TV channel
Arsenal Football Club has teamed up with Setanta Sports, signing a major six-year deal for Setanta to be the exclusive broadcaster of the new Arsenal TV channel.
The Arsenal TV channel is planned to launch in December and will become the tenth channel offered as part of the Setanta Sports pack on satellite. Arsenal TV will be included in the Setanta Sports pack at no extra charge. On cable, the channel will be available as part of the Setanta Sports pack via Virgin Media. Arsenal TV will also be available to Setanta customers in the Republic of Ireland.
Sign up to the Setanta Sports service.
The Arsenal TV channel will broadcast:
Delayed coverage of all Arsenal matches in major football competitions including Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup.
Behind the scenes access to the Club — including interviews with Arsène Wenger and the players.
Live coverage of Reserve matches and highlights from Arsenal Academy and Arsenal Ladies matches.
Classic match action celebrating some of the Club’s greatest moments.
A wide selection of Arsenal friendlies on a live and exclusive basis.
At least six hours of content per day, five days a week.
Setanta will be credited as the exclusive official broadcast sponsor of Arsenal Football Club and the Arsenal TV channel. The deal includes sponsorship and marketing rights, access to players, intellectual property including trademarks as well as in-stadia media. Under the terms of the deal, Setanta will take all subscription revenues whilst Arsenal will retain all gross receipts derived from any sponsorship and advertising on the Arsenal Channel.
Arsenal has appointed Input Media to produce the content for the new channel.
Keith Edelman, Managing Director Arsenal FC, said:
“Arsenal TV will provide the Club with a powerful way of communicating with our fans in both the UK and Republic of Ireland. For the first time supporters will really be able to see behind the scenes at Emirates Stadium. We are aiming to provide quality programming that is not only informative but also reflects the exciting brand of football we play on the pitch. “
Michael O’Rourke, co-founder and co-CEO of Setanta, said:
“We are delighted to be the exclusive broadcaster of Arsenal TV and add the new channel to our ever-expanding Setanta Sports Pack. With the Barclays Premier League season now underway, and our top European action from France, Portugal, Germany and Holland and comprehensive coverage of the Blue Square Premier, Setanta is unbeatable value for all football fans.
“Arsenal fans will be delighted that they can now follow their team on their own channel. The fantastic extra benefit is that not only will the fans get Arsenal TV, they will get the best of our other channels in the same bundle. We have 46 exclusively Live Barclays Premier league games, including two Arsenal games coming up in October and November. ”
Arsenal.com will keep supporters posted on all future developments regarding the new Arsenal TV channel.

Should be good. Especially the live reserves games, because they'll be on in the morning our time.

Setanta and the rumoured ESPN 2 channel will be best for international matches, not so much for Arsenal matches.

In terms of EPL (or i think its BPL now because of copyright issues), Foxsports is definetly the channel to watch it on. Internationals, definetly we need better channels, ESPN is fine, but they're are millions of other matches going on at the same time, and they don't have viewers choice on ESPN. They really shouldn't charge extra, especially for people that have the Sports package.

But if people will pay extra. Then they will charge extra...

I can understand it from a marketing perspective, but it still isn't fair to charge people that already pay for the sports package, extra. It is a good sign though that football is getting more popular in Australia though.

The only problem with ESPN is the picture quality with Games from europe ,its appalling.
Being charged extra for sport is crap ,you already pay extra for pay tv and then they change the basic pack .Don't know about Foxtel but with austar we paid whatever it was for the channels we had including the sports ones then they get rid of Fox Footy and start up Fox3 make a sports pack and now we pay $2 extra for the same amount of channels (plus the 24 sport news one)we had before just because some people didnt want sport in the basic pack .I thought that was a bit poor.

There are still people on older contracts that have the sports package included (minus ESPN) as part of the basic package.

yes i think ESPNs coverage is s**t aswell for football but they make up for it on NASCAR, baseball and Drag racing. seems like they only cover their own sports good.
