Anyone fancy an end of season race day?

Postby goonerphill » 29 Dec 2007, 15:34

So been thinking. Big kart track, just down the Road from Aussie zoo. Gooners, beer and much fun being had by all. Ok we can't drink and drive but we can after the driving.

Plenty of camp sites in the area, so we can set up a Gooner tent city, few esskys full of beer meat for the bbq what more could we need.

Or should we make the FA Cup Final we could do it that weekend camping at Maroochydore and watching the game at the Pig and whistle at Sunshine plaza.

I've only suggested camping to keep costs down and because I've just started doing it
But there are plenty of places to stay in Maroochydore that won't cost a great deal at that time of year.

Anyway I'll leave it up to you guys. First thing is to get an idea of numbers. If your interested, post a reply. Have any ideas on what we should do, post a reply. Lets see if we can make something happen

For sure end of season or FA cup or both whayever by then the local league will be on the way and we can start by watching the ever so talented myself, jas and CODY(haha) put on a show for the mighty beegees (no not the band its short for beerwah-glasshouse) its our local football team.

Also early in the new year when we get a decent kick off time goonermick and chrisj and goonerphil and whoever will have to get their ass' to glasshouse and we will get on it at my house.

Are you guys happy to come up the sunshine coast? I am happy to do some homework on venues etc Phil, myself and mick all have 4wd's I don't know about anyone else but maybe we can do a camping weekend up at Noosa northshore or up that way.. There is a camping ground at Lake Cooroibah and a pub 200m walk then you can drive 500m and your on the beach.Would be good if we could take maybe friday and monday off work and stay a couple of nights....What does everyone else think?I don't care whether we make it lads only or wives etc as well at least if the women are there we might not get too wasted....and someone to clean up :P :P :P

I have no problem with it being a family affair. Guess we should just set a date and go for it.
