A good night had by all, a really good turnout plus quite a few ringins, we definately got our ten, there were more than ten wearing Arsenal shirts and only three of those were members. I'm guessing about twenty supporters all up, including Nick, Sky, Jake, Win and Fraser, A pity that Ian couldn't get in, I guess we need to make sure that we let everyone know that shorts are verbotten. At half time we did some recruiting and with the help of sky (who had some spare cards) we have another four prospects, they must have been keen as three were wearing shirts. There was also a visitor from Brisvegas who was also wearing a shirt who will chase up the QLD chapter when he returns! A few sp*rs fans but they really didn't get a look in. Steve, I really need to get some more cards as I am fresh out now and they are going to good homes! We missed your insightful banter Steve, but understand no worries.........The only problem with the Carbon bar is that the next day you need physio on your neck or a neckbrace, I'm sure they need higher seats...........and Jake, I'm glad you have no hard feelings whatsoever!

Glad to hear it went well. Sorry I couldn't make it. I take it we won the 'singing war'? How was it @ the Cas? Were they accomodatig or difficult? Could be a decent Plan B in the future...
Nigel, please PM me your addess and i'll send you a few cards...

No problems at all at the Carbon Bar, a good alternate, not quite the intimate atmosphere we have at the Shag, but the screen is big, the picture and sound is good, then beer is cold and the management/bouncers were no problem.....unless you wore shorts!!! For games after midnight it is a good option....provided you have sound....if you didn't have sound it would be pretty crap, the poor guys trying to watch the rugby on the other large screen last night couldn't have enjoyed their game with the sound of our game and us killing any concentration they may have had....you can also fit far more people in there with everyone getting a great view.

They have no problem with us creating a little 'atmosphere'?

There were no worries last night, and I would guess there were about 120 people watching the game, and no overt overbearing security. We created a little "atmosphere" but all good natured banter and a few well worn verses. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went off.....a good fun night.......except the scoreline!

Well done lads a great little turn out the usual suspects plus some extras good to see Nick again huge potentual for new members well done Nige for your efforts on that definately an alternative if the shag is unavailable i got more sense out of Jakes girlfriend than Jake himself but he's a great bloke to watch the football with,Steve hope all is well on the home front and look forward to catching up next time.As for the game itself a galent effort by the boys considering they have to play in a team with Emanuel Eboue even with 10 men we still had the better chances and we didn't have the problems of previous games out the back, just goes to show that you don't hve to like each other to play well together Gallas and Toure played out of there skins Song played his part apart from a few errent passes Ade being out now for a while might just force Wengers hand in playing Eduardo and with Eboues dismissal it might make "le boss" come to his senses, alot of work to be done if we are to get that final cl spot but anything is possible.

had a good night, cheers everyone, good to meet/catch up with you again.
had a good chat to a gooner who was over here in holiday, shame he didnt live here as he was keen to watch more games at the shag.
cas was an ok place to watch it,has its positives, cant beat the shag though.
i must of been tucking the booze away, spent my $100 and had no money for a taxi. sod knows how i spent the ton, $8 a pint, didn't think i'd bought that many in 2 hours
good night though. cant wait to get to the shag.

We are getting very well represented by the Asian community well done Sky.I agree on the Nigel issue as well maybe if we can vote him for PM we can use the 42Billion dollar stimulous package to buy the 2-3 players we ned to challenge againskyl wrote:Everyone stand up for Nigel! It wasn't shorts
Nigel I have to say it wasn't that I was wearing shorts that they didn't let me in it was because they were camouflage grey and black!!! If they had been grey or black, not both I would have been let in. I could even have purchased a pair of gay golf shorts from Burswood for $55 and they would have let me in. I'm disappointed not to have watched it in there as Rew said it was a great attmosphere, just a shame about Eboue. When is Arsene going to see that this twat is not up to standard and ship him out, when I see his name on the team sheet now I know it will be another enept performance.
Up the Arse.
