Sydney Venue
Calling all Sydneysiders: the season is getting close and we are looking hard at venues to watch games in and meet for the occasional social drink. The two fav's at present seem to be Cheers on George Street and Trophies Sports Bar at Star City. Does anyone else wish to proffer a venue and their reasons why? Both Cheers and Trophies seem to have their own fan base which means that Sydney Gooners are split on match days - we need to work on getting everyone together for an even better atmosphere. Agree or disagree?

I agree that those two venues are probably the best places to watch live football. I dont care where we meet but personally i like cheers a bit more. However i was there when we lost the champions league final so my memories of that bar are a little bad. Either way i dont care where the sydney meet will be. It will be difficult to pick one place and obviously depending on what time the matches are on will determine how many people show up. Maybe you should post where everyone should meet about a week before the first game and see what the response is.

Sydney Meets
Hey Guys,
I thought I would get abit more of a response to help me make a decision. LOL The reason I want to go to Star City is mainly because of the parking and also other activities that we can all go along and do either before or after a game, but on the other hand Cheers is more central and is easy to get to for people by public transport but not good for people driving in like myself. Let me know of any opinions you guys might have.

Tonight: Arsenal v Spurs
Hi,
As relative new to these shores not sure where other Australian Gooners will be watching the match but I will try Cheers as listed here. Hopefully will see some of you there; though if people are going elsewhere let me know. I'll check-in again before I leave.
If it's not on at Cheers and as I'm not wearing colours I'll quietly go and watch it where the ozscum meet - won't be the first time I've sat queitly enjoying Arsenal's victory in the opponents end.
cheers

Gday lads, sounds sweet, looking forward to catching you all at Cheers for some of the games.
Sorry about my absence of late, just been really busy with a couple things and haven't been at home so I have limited inet access which sucks but I should be as active as before in a few weeks.
