Whatever happend to...?
Stephen Hughes,
played an integral part in 97/98 double season and season after. Good young english player who seemed destined for big things. Left for Everton and then watford and then made a beeline for the bermuda triangle as i havent heard about him since.
Anyone know what happend to this once talented player?

I remember him as quite a decent player in his time. Scored the winner one year against Chelsea and the Clock End were singing 'there's only one Hughes in London' - Chelsea had Mark Hughes at the time (just in case you wondered!). Think AW quite rated him but he just couldn't force his way past Vieira or Petit.
At the end of the day, he fits in with Wenger's doctrine. If you aint top top class you don't play - even if you are English. Or if your head isn't right (e.g Merse and possibly TH) you are also out.
