vs Marseille

Thought we looked tired. Despite what the commentators were saying we should have put the game to bed in the first half. Numerous counter attacks which fell apart with the last pass. Wenger may have got a more meaningful performance from the second choice players (Chamahk, AA and Rosicky). Park was poor.

Damn daylight savings changes have screwed my champions league mornings up!

can't comment on much of the game as i had to leave at half time. Ramsey needs to become more lethal in front of goals.

It's a positive sign when we can judge the team by such high standards. Agree that the boys lacked sharpness and were a little tired. However, Marseille deserve a rap for making it an exciting game. They didn't sit back, as expected and really took it to us. Felt for Park, while he didn't have a great game(in that, things didn't fall for him), he tried hard and put himself about, involving himself in quite a few aerial contests and tackling back, when needed. Needs a few more games to develop combinations. Difficult when there is such a tight contest in midfield and tired legs. Thought Song was great and probably the only clear winner in midfield for us. But, a clean sheet and one more point closer to qualification, looking forward to the weekend and another home game.

It was a game we could/should have won in the first half & lost in the second. A point will have to do !. We can win the home game against the Germans & give Theo another rest. :D :D
