vs. Dortmund

Postby irishgooner » 23 Nov 2011, 11:48

Really hope we can get a result in this one. Dortmund are on a roll as well and have just beaten Bayern Munich away last friday. Gotze has scored 3 in his last 3 and is running their side. I can see why Arsene wants him!

If we win we go through and it mean that Dortmund will struggle to qualify, which won't hurt our chances of getting Gotze either!
i think this will be close and could be a cracker. Dortmund have to go for it and I think we will too. I can see it being a very open game...

Better second half than first & a result that can let us relax for the final game against the Greeks. Theo subbed again & as the commentator said he does not have the close control to play as a central striker. Against the Sweedes in the international last week & the game against Norwich he did the simple thing of staying out wide making it easy for other teamates to find him. He also looks so much better if he has the space to knock the ball pass his man then use his speed without it. His crosses were also great in those 2 games. Song & 'Big V' had blinders tonight. Also good to see Diaby come on late in the game as a sub. after such a long time out. Bring on Fulham. :D :D

Great result and great to see us put the group away as winners with a game to spare. It will be an interesting knockout stage. If the other english teams finish in 2nd place (which is definitely possible), it increases our chances of getting AC milan in the draw, which would be a tough draw (but at least we can't get Barca again).

Kos played well at right back again - no suprise that the goal came when Djourou replaced him.

Santos had a great game too, and is really growing on me. Still suspect defensively but superb going forward. He really adds to our play. Gervinho is frustrating at the moment, he works hard, and can make some great runs, but again his control and decision making let him down at times.

Kos is certainly much better at RB then CB.Were still not solid at the back by any stretch.Teams look like they will score at some point against us.
