Just had a look on YouTube, some nice headed goals - not the best way to judge a player, especially a defender, but he looks good and strong in the highlights and he's got big wraps in the media. Hope we don't lose anyone now.

Sell Senderos to Florentina and throw in some cash and get Melo... that would be a great bit of business.... Buy Bassong and sell Gallas... keep Toure he deserves a career ending contract at Arsenal.. If Ade wants to go let him and buy Klaas Huntelaar get RVP locked in .... job done.... bring on August 15th

Interesting, it was a former spuds manager who sold him to us, although he didn't want to let Vermaelen go.

I'd like us to keep Senderos as I've always thought that we haven't seen all of him yet and he's still got a step or two to rise, but I don't mind selling Gallas and Ade, and most importantly, SELL SILVESTRE or just give him away!
Oh, and WELCOME ... THOMAS VERMAELEN!!

Re: Thomas Vermaelen
I'd like to see us give Senderos another chance.
He's a decent defender, he just struggles under pressure a little.
As for Silvestre, apparently Bordeaux want him.
Give him away for free if they want him. He's useless and never should've been signed.
I reckon Toure will be a really important player for us this season. Remember that he didn't have a preseason last year because he had malaria. He'll be much better off with a full pre-season under his belt.
Can't see us getting KJH, he's likely off to Stuttgart as Gomez's replacement. Madrid have apparently accepted a 20m bid for him.

Re: Thomas Vermaelen
What do people think.....
Early on when we signed Vermaelen I said that he would also make a good DM... seeing the way he pushes on and the bullet left foot he posesses what do you think about swapping him and Song around or even dropping Diaby and playing Big Phil with Gallas and playing Song and Vermaelen behind cesc.... I think it would be worth a look as that would provide us with a hard hitting midfield pair and allow us to win the ball further up the pitch and not let teams out of their own half. It would all hinge on Big Phils performances though....

I think that would be a bit of a waste to be honest. Gallas and Verminator really work well together and should not be split up in any avoidable situation. Their partnership is greater than the sum of its parts.

I think he's scored 5 actually.
4 in the league, one in the CL.
