Re: Who Needs to Go?
I think I'm the only player who wants us to sign another midfielder. I think the problem with falling away towards the end of the season has been due to a lack of squad depth. Another creative player like Hazard would make that difference.
I'd like us to sign a new DM also. However, I don't think either a new striker, keeper or CD are as necessary as people suggest.
Interestingly, most people seem to be more focused on who they want to go that who they want to arrive. It says something about the dead wood that we've struggled with for the last few years.

Re: Who Needs to Go?
Remember when Ferguson said back in Feb 2011 that this was going to be a two-horse race..?? Here's the proof:

....and we have finished fourth!!
Fourth!!, out of a two-horse race!! How can that happen?? In recent seasons, only if you play for Arsenal.
I'm expecting some solid changes, starting with Scott Parker from West Ham. He's going to be a bargn buy now from the relegated Hammers. He's industrious, tough and English
, something which our squad is almost 100% not!

Re: Who Needs to Go?
It'd be nice to get a tough tackling midfielder, but we shouldn't pay 10m for a 30 year old who has 2-3 good years left just because they're English. I'd prefer we bought a player who will be round for a lot longer for 10m or so.

Big Nick looks a gonna.... Mixed feelings on this... Although he has done f all for us I think wenger is partly responsible for that... he continues to play him as a winger when he is clearly not that... why do you have a 6foot 3" striker out wide crossing the ball to a 5foot 10" player... doesn't make sense to me... I think Bendtner playing as a target centre forward with someone running off him and he would be ok.... not sure he is a world beater but at least play him in a position to give him a chance of doing something...

Re: Who Needs to Go?
I think that both Bendtner and Vela have struggled with the change in formation from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3.
They were great together a few years ago in the Carling Cup playing 4-4-2, but since Wenger changed to 4-3-3 they've both had to be played out on the wing.
The formation suits Fabregas, Ramsay and to a lesser extent Diaby, who become central to the play, but it hasn't been as good for the rest of the team.

OUT
clichy - looks like he's going
almunia - not good enough
rosicky - won't be good enough thanks to injury
denilson - showed some promise a couple seasons ago, but not good enough
fabregas - maybe just doesn't want to be here anymore, better off letting him go
bendtner - just not good enough
IN
centre back - vermaelen would make a great holding midfielder, even djourou. with our 4-3-3 formation nasri, vermaelen, cesc in midfield and arshavin, rvp, theo up front. to do this we'd need an established CB signing
striker - can't rely on RVP all the time, don't see theo and chamakh providing enough goals
midfield - if cesc goes, have to fill this position, nasri is great but would still like to strengthen here
left back - if clichy does go, gibbs is good but probably not quite experienced enough right now
holding mid - least important for me at the moment if we can get a solid CB to allow vermaelen to play DM. essentially we have song, vermaelen and djourou who are capable of this role
