Cesc Fabregas
Re: Cesc Fabregas
As Bossey said, can't expect too much from his first start. Although, he helped the team a lot by just being on the pitch. The pressure was taken off of guys like Arshavin and Diaby, and that in turn helped the team.

Re: Cesc Fabregas
Big call to say that Cesc's form is questionable.
Why would we sell him in January. He wouldn't be worth as much as he'd be cup tied and it'd give us little time to fill a big hole in our side.
He's still regaining match fitness, that's obvious in the fact that a guy who normally plays 90 minutes has not yet played 90 minutes this season. In his only start, he only played 63 minutes!
He didn't have his normal attacking instincts that he had last season and he played a little deeper than he did last season, but he still showed his brilliance in playing several defence splitting passes.

Re: Cesc Fabregas
We should all judge him in about a months time. At least then he will have some decent match finess.
The good thing is we have won 2 out of 3, and he has hardly played.

Agree, although I think we'll all have forgotten about the transfer rumours after the international break when Cesc puts one in the back of the net.
Wenger said that he wasn't expected to be match fit until after the international break anyway.

Re: Cesc Fabregas
Latest news (according to Cesc's tweets) is that the injury is a two week injury and he should be back for Birmingham and is a chance for Chelsea.

Re: Cesc Fabregas
What is going on with cesc???? this isn't the same guy we fought so hard against Barca for.
He looks lethargic, lazy and seriously out of touch
He also looks frustrated, angry and unfocussed with continued little niggly arguments and tackles against opposition.
Since he's been back in the team, we have played terrible
I think he needs a week out to get his head right

There's only 1 Arsene Wenger

Re: Cesc Fabregas
I have no doubt that this is Cesc' last season at Arsenal... Wenger would have made his give me 1 more year and you can go... He has brought Wishere through in a hurry to cover and he is going alright...
Also alot of speculation that Clichy is on the way out and I am not too dissappointed about that.. Gibbs will be a better left back than him once he soughts out his injury problems..
So my thinking is Barca will have a bit of a clean out to pay for Cesc. The 2 names that interest me the most are Affellay and Maxwell.... Affelley is no doubt a world class playmaker and cannot be faulted for not getting too much game time with the small fact of having Messi to compete with for a spot... With him and Wilshere and Nasri and Ramsey I think that we could do without Cesc and his bad attitude and enormous amount of injuries....
Now if Clichy was to go Maxwell would be slot straight in and give us a world class left back until Gibbs comes through..
So, what do you guys think.... If we were to get Affellay and Maxwell and some $$$$$ would you be happy to see cesc go...
I vote a big YES...

Re: Cesc Fabregas
Wooooohooooo....... Finally he is gone.... We have been paying his wages and he has been wandering around the pitch occassionally but he has been gone for 2 seasons.. now we can spend that money on someone who actually wants to play for us.... People can say what they want about him being a legend of our club but the way in which him and Barca have gone about this is an absolute disgrace.... They have got together and blackmailed Arsenal into a cut price deal.... He wanted to go and refused to go anywhere else and has been refusing to play he has been fit he was just forcing us to take the cheap deal..... Barca knew he wouldn't go anywhere else so they knew they didn't have to offer an appropriate amount of money....
I think this is a massive day for Arsenal Football Club I think getting rid of Cesc is the beginning of the next chapter for us.... People can say I am only saying that because he has gone... but I have been sayig this for the past 2 seasons...
In the last 6 seasons with all our play revolving around him what have we won?????????
Nasri Next.... Then get us a couple of quality creative players Mr Wenger and will do Barca in the CL... we had them last year before the ref took it from us....
