i wouldnt take out vermalen, i think he has been great, but like i said i personally dont think senderos is that bad
diaby has much greater ability than denilson, but the latter has much more consistency...thats the way i see it. its a shame denilson got injured so early this season, he was showin great form and linkin up beautifully with song and fab...

Re: Phillip Senderos
as long as senderos is before silvestre i'm happy, i've always been a fan of senderos, have always liked what he gave us in defence, something unique that no other arsenal defender had . . . . . . the ability to header the farkin ball from corners and free kicks (not like diaby lol)

Re: Phillip Senderos
Have to agree with you Elliott. He's not the most mobile CD, but he's a great header of the ball and when in form, he's brilliant.
As for Denilson vs Diaby, I've been impressed with Diaby this season. He's become a bit more consistent and improved his tackling, although it still needs more work, particually his slide tackling. I'd like to see Diaby having a crack from distance a little more, and to work on his shooting outside the box as he's got great power on his shots.

Re: Phillip Senderos
I must say good luck to Senderos. I really liked him, and it's a pity it didn't work out for him at Arsenal. He is such a competitor and we have to remember he played a key role in our run to the CL final back in 2006 and had great games against AC MIlan in 08. Hopefully he gets a good run without injuries and can play some good football again (and get the captain's armband somewhere in the future which he'll deserve).

Re: Phillip Senderos
he's mentally fragile as f***! for me he won't be missed...above average ability, but with that kind of mental strength he wont cut it in a 'big' team, i think he'll be well suit to fulham. if only we could get hangelaand...

Settle down kitty cats . Mash is our resident "swear bear" Lachie and he generally does write inciteful and accurate posts. It's just his opinion (normally colourful and passionate) but you have obviously noticed a lot of player bashing on here which is a bit disturbing.
IMO i liked senderos and thought he always tried his best and did make our defence look less vulnerable at free kicks but he could be a bit clumsy at times as seen the other day tackling his own player and hurting his ankle putting him out of the world cup
