Theo Walcott
Dundee,you don't have to watch the games with Jake he talks as much as he writes lolGooner Dundee wrote:pffft
Theo will stay, its all just media crap. There is not even a single thread of evidence to suggest anything they're saying.
They just do the sums and calculate stuff to cause trouble, talk to the agent who gets a cut from every new contract, hence he's apart of the mischief making.
It worries me slightly but honestly Arsenal is the best place for him.
Its actually weird that in the last couple of months I missed so much on the forum, I was super busy with work and didn't see half the stuff that was written (mostly from Jake and Richard lol)

He might get a sub appearance, but I doubt he'll be playing.
Reminds me of Cesc's comments before the Roma game.

It's unknown how long he'll be out for. Some sources are talking about it being the season, others are talking about him being back shortly, possibly even after the international break.

this is good news, but what's worrying is the apparent fragility of Theo. For him to injure a knee badly enough to stop him playing just through "walking" is not a good sign. hope there is no weakness in his knees, cos without his speed he would not be half the player.

Great, we're fcuked!
This kid couldn't hit a bus from 10 yards.
I hope this is not Wenger's solution to the departure of Adebayor.
And is it a done deal yet or what anyway, what's this about Ade not having accepted the deal yet or something?

Re: Theo Walcott
a good pre-season as a striker can change everything.
same went for Henry... winger -> striker
Cole...striker -> defender
Walcott...winger -> striker
Wenger seems to be very good at relocating players to their inner strengths...

Re: Theo Walcott
Not too worried about those comments.
If Theo can't hit the side of a bus and he's 20, then he's a lot better than Henry, who claimed, and I'm quoting Thierry, when he first came to Arsenal (and was a few years older than Theo), he "couldn't hit the side of a barn".
I expect Theo to have a mixed season, with some games up front, and others in the midfield. I guess he'll fill in where he's needed most.
Last year we had so many injuries in the midfield and Theo missed a large part of the season himself, so it didn't give him a chance to play up front much, but the year before you could see that Wenger was giving him more of a chance up front.

Lol!
I wasn't aware of that about Henry.
Let's hope we see similar progress from Walcott.

Re: Theo Walcott
I don't think people should jump to conclusions about Walcott being the next Henry.
People were saying that about Diaby and Vieira but he hasn't become the next Vieira. They're different types of players and although they share characteristics, they're not identical.

Re: Theo Walcott
I certainly don't think Walcott to be the next Henry.
I think Theo to be completely overrated and I think we've seen all he posesses, speed.
But if Henry was initially unable to hit the side of a barn, and progressed to the striker he now is. I hope we see such a change in Theo. From a kid who can run (without the ball, he more often than not leaves it behind or with the defender) to a decent footballer, capable of scoring and passing. It would be great for Arsenal.
I don't think Diaby will ever be the Viera like. Though Viera is a shadow of the player he once was anyway. Inter would be better off selling him.
