Theo Walcott
Re: Theo Walcott
Theo has suffered a bit with what people expect of him because of the call up to the England squad for the last world cup.
He's a quality player, he's dribbling and physical strength has improved significantly, and he's definitely not a "one-trick" player.
He'll improve his finishing as he gets older as he has with his other skills. Remember, he's still got another 7-8 years until he hits his peak!

Re: Theo Walcott
No excuse for Theo.
Its blatantly obvious that he is good, he just needs to work on his shooting - which I assume is what this pre-season will be ALL about.
He will get better - and really will begin to dominate wherever he plays - he is just too quick!

Re: Theo Walcott
ur def right, theo is a good player. to be very good he needs to not only work on the shooting (which u already pointed out) but also, and more importantly, on his crossing which is piss poor n really needs improvement. get these 2 things sorted n he will go to great things at the Arsenal

Re: Theo Walcott
jus wen things looked on the up for him, being out after a long layoff, he is now out for 3-4 weeks. f***ing ridgewell!
on better news tho, nasri is makin his reserves comeback so we could see him by sun, carling cup or most likely the NLD...
i'd love to regularly see a formation of:
cesc song nasri
ros rvp arsh
(with edu n walcott off the bench)

Re: Theo Walcott
Tough luck for Theo. I think the internationals have had an impact on his resiliance to injuries. Hopefully he'll recover quickly and be able to string a decent run of matches together
Would be good to see Nasri back soon. Diaby has really improved with regular matches in a central role, but I would still prefer Nasri next to Cesc and Song.
I have to agree with your suggestion of formation Mash. That formation gets me really excited!

Re: Theo Walcott
except for barca, i think one would struggle to find a better attacking lineup then our full-strength starting 6...here's to hoping that injuries let us see it a fair few times

Re: Theo Walcott
Suprised this thread hasn't got more attention lately
Well Theo has really started to show what he can do, after being left out of the world cup he's finally had a full preseason and looked head and shoulders above he's previous performances, and then what happens???????????
farkin injured!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why oh why does this always happen, do we intentionally buy players made of glass????

Re: Theo Walcott
At least RVP will still be out injured by the time the next lot of them rock around.
Hopefully he'll be right for the remainder of the season following them and he'll only miss four games.

I like your optimism Richard, but going on his track record I think it would be too much to hope for RVP to stay injury free for more than a few matches in a row!

Re: Theo Walcott
RVP needs to be rested regularly.
He got through a whole season a couple of years ago playing no more than once per week, but internationals often complicate that, as they don't look after him in the same way that the club does.

That's a bit of a worry, hopefully he can return to form when he does get back. We need a few players to step up over the next few weeks.

Re: Theo Walcott
The Chelsea match is the one that we'd really like Theo and RVP back for.
It's more likely to be Birmingham city following the international break before Theo will be back.
Is it a little unfair that both Lampard and Terry are missing the internationals due to soft injuries and yet no one is complaining about it?
Must be because everyone hates them.
