Rich mate you've gone and jumped the gun
Hope this doesn't put a "Motson" on the deal.
Remember the start of last season, we started more than a couple of threads for players that then ended up going elsewhere.

There's been plenty of threads about possible signings.

I'm surprised there wasn't a post earlier, there has been for every other player we've been linked with.

I don't pay any attention to the media's hype of who the "next" is.

For example, Sunu is supposed to be the next Henry - because he's black, French and plays for Arsenal.

Geez that's one huge comparison to live up to, Zidane was pretty damn good. I hope he lives up to it.

Where do you think and how do you think Arsene will play him?

apparently he likes going through the centre.

him and cesc in the middle with rosicky on the left and theo/new signing on the right would be top class. but maybe too aggressive? may play nasri as a floating midfielder, sort of in a pires role. starting on the left but given license to run all over the place tearing teams apart.

Yeh that's what I thought, in the middle with Cesc and Rosicky and Theo wide (hopefully Ben Arfa even!) but then I thought with our defence that's a pretty attack minded midfield and we could get caught out a bit, especially with how our fullbacks play too.
I don't know I'm real excited to see him in an Arsenal shirt though, can't bloody wait till next season.

One site I saw had a pic of Nasri in a gooners shirt.

It may have been done on computer though.

Wouldn't mind seeing Nasri in the center with Cesc and another winger out wide.

I'm pretty sure the number 14 is retired, and assuming Hleb leaves then Nasri might get 13

14 isn't retired.

Looks like the deal is 99% done according to multiple sources.

I wish they'd hurry up and announce this. It's been expected for over a week now, and it feels like its sort of happened but not really.

Wonder what the hold up is?

It'd be all the little details like international clearance and organising various rights and bonuses.

It should happen before Euro 2008, assuming Liverpool dont do a Babel on us, very unlikely though. When Arsene said that he was going to sign 2 or 3 world class players, do you think this is what he had in mind for one of them?

another week, Nasri still hasn't signed, doesn't look good.

I had a dream last night that someone did something dodgy at the last minute and wenger was gonna take it to fifa.

knowing my dreams that means nasri will be signing soon, lol
There's only 1 Arsene Wenger

Don't blame it on Henry,
don't blame it on the injuries,
don't blame it on the referees,
blame it on Eboue!

Remember Sagna took a while to be announced, and there was no Euro tournament to get in the way then.

i have a bad feeling about it now.

first wenger said it will happen before the euros
then he said 'in a few days'
the media have changed their date of the proposed official signing from 2 mondays ago, to last monday to yesterday where it was supposed to be a photo shoot (all bollox from the papers i know, just shows they dont have a clue).
but now wenger has come out today and said that it will be done AFTER THE EUROS!!
s**t s**t s**t.
i was looking forward to watching him for france as a gooner, whats the bet he has a great tornament and his price goes up by 10 million.

I'm not overly worried if we have to wait until after Euros. I'm confident we'll get him. Wenger doesn't often make comments about purchasing a player unless it's almost certain.

A bid has been accepted, so even if he has a fantastic Euro, he won't cost more in transfer fees. It's only wages we have to worry about.

Anyway, it's no surprise about the delay. Wenger is on holiday and Nasri is with France preparing for Euro.

Nasri is going to become a Gooner, as Richard said, Wenger never says these things unless he's certain, often Wenger doesnt even say ANYTHING about who hes going to sign, so saying that he is going to sign him after Euros is definetly a positive
